The Railroad and Heritage Museum will dedicate the Fred M. And Dale M. Springer Archives on Friday, June 22, 2012 at 6:00 pm to honor the contributions made by them. All members of the community are invited to attend this dedication ceremony.

During the week of June 19-24, 2012, the 32nd Annual SFRH&MS Convention is being held in Temple, Texas. Information for their activities may be found on their website The beautifully restored GCSF/ATSF Depot is home to the Temple Railroad and Heritage Museum and is well recognized site of the SFRH&MS Archives.

During the week of the convention, the Archives hours of operation will be Tuesday, June 19 through, Thursday, June 21 from 10 am – 4 pm. Friday, June 22 the hours will be from 7 pm – 9 pm, concluding on Saturday, June 23 by appointment only.

Motor cars will be displayed and running on the Museum’s track on Friday, June 22, 2012 starting at 4:00 pm. Affectionately, known as “Speeders,” these cars carried railroad workers to complete needed repairs on the track. Museum hours will be Tuesday – Saturday from 10 am – 4 pm.

Admission prices are $4.00 Adult, $3.00 Senior (60+), $2.00 Children (5-12), Children under 5 – no charge. For Members of the SFRH&MS, there will be a significant discount offered when you wear your convention badge.
