Located on the second floor of the Railroad and Heritage Museum, the exhibits cover many topics relating to the city of Temple and railroading history. The museum hosts both permanent and temporary exhibits.
Explore the museum’s permanent exhibits and discover the interconnected history of the Santa Fe Railroad and the city of Temple. Several small exhibits cover a range of topics relating to working or traveling on the railroad and the impact of rail transportation on our country.
Our Temporary Exhibit gallery hosts a regular program of changing exhibits, covering railroad and general history topics of interest to the people of Temple.
The Museum’s rolling stock collection is exhibited outdoors on the south side of the Santa Fe Depot. Here you will find both steam and diesel locomotives along with passenger and freight cars.
