The Railroad and Heritage Museum is hosting a bus trip to the Bullock Texas State History Museum in Austin on Saturday, August 24.  The trip includes transportation, museum admission, and a ticket to the Rocky Mountain Express IMAX film. The Bullock Museum, located in downtown Austin, tells the story of Texas history over three floors of exhibits using artifacts, recreated environments, and multimedia presentations.

“We are excited to be offering this trip to our community. The trip allows our guests to enjoy a great history museum without the hassle of driving there,” said museum director Stephanie Long. “We hope to continue to offer our patrons a variety of fun and educational opportunities to explore our heritage.” The trip is also a fundraiser for the museum.

Visitors will have time to explore the exhibits at their own pace and view the IMAX film. Lunch will be available at the museum’s Story of Texas Café or at a variety of nearby restaurants (lunch not included in price).

The bus leaves from the museum at 8 a.m., returning around 6 p.m. The cost is $45 for Museum members and $50 for other guests. Call the Museum today at 254-298-5172 to reserve your seat!
