| Tours | The Railroad and Heritage Museum offers guided fieldtrip tours for students that include the history and a walk-through of the locomotives and cabooses outside, a walking tour of the museum exhibits, and a demonstration of telegraph communications. Handcar rides are also available for an extra fee. |
| Days of Operation | School Tours are available Tuesday – Friday. |
| Fees | $2 per student. One teacher will be admitted free with each class. Other teachers and adults pay $2 each. |
| Group Reservations | Tours should be scheduled at least two weeks in advance so the museum can arrange guides for your tour. To arrange your tour, call the education coordinator at 254-298-5165, or email judy@rrhm.org. |
| Lunch | The museum does not have dining facilities, other than snacks and drinks in the gift shop. However, it is located next to the Whistle Stop Park, operated by the city of Temple, which has playground equipment, tables, and bathroom facilities. Reservations for the park are made by calling 254-698-5690. |
